A Guide to International Foot and Ankle Surgery Journals Foot and ankle surgery has firmly established itself as a subspecialty within the past decades. New societies were founded and new journals were inaugurated. The number of foot and ankle publications has increased dramatically. Journals have merged or been renamed, making it difficult to keep track of what each journal represents. The following is a guide to the complicated world of foot and ankle surgery journals. Remark that some of the journals are journals of the podiatrists and chiropodists and that it is preferable for medical doctors to publish in medical journals.
